🐴 FEI HorseApp – Temperature Monitoring
What you need to know
📱 Since January 1st, 2022, in accordance with Articles 1029 and 1031 of the FEI Veterinary Regulations, all horses competing at an FEI event must follow specific health procedures via the FEI HorseApp.
Here are the steps you don’t want to miss 👇
✅ Before the event
- Complete and submit the self-certification form in the FEI HorseApp before your arrival.
- Take and log your horse’s temperature twice daily during the 3 days leading up to your arrival at the event.
- Register your horse’s location in the app.
🧑⚕️ Upon arrival at the venue
- 📍 Temperature check is mandatory before accessing the stables. Any horse that does not go through this check may be excluded from the event.
📆 During the event
- Continue recording each FEI horse’s temperature twice daily using the FEI HorseApp.
🔁 Quick practical reminder
- Bring your own thermometer! It’s required for the temperature check upon arrival.
- It is recommended to have a second person with you when taking the temperature:
- One person holds the horse,
- The other takes the rectal temperature.
🧪 Veterinarians and officials are not responsible for handling your horse during the temperature check.
📌 Who uses the FEI HorseApp?
- Rider
- Grooms
- Owner
- Coaches
- Everyone can access it and follow the health requirements according to their role.
🚨 Thank you for following these guidelines to ensure the well-being of all horses and the overall biosecurity of the event.
